♥ LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

VERY UNFORTUNATELY, today was the last day of school for me in the Japanese secondary school. I AM SO SAD. here goes the timeline.
4.45 am - alarm rang
5.00 am - woke up
6.05 am - left home
6.40 am - reach HCJC bus-stop
7.45 am - reach Japanese School
9.00 am - homeroom
- Design and technology (wood shop)
- Geography
- News reading
- Music
- Lunch
- Closing ceremony
- TAKE ALL THE DAMN PICTURES I CAN
4.00 pm - went home
5.30 pm - reach home

Morning. i was so damned tired. i did not even hear the alarm until it rang until halfway. and i snooze it twice! woke up, washed up, left at 6.05am? the morning is ok. today, my bag was the lightest! hahaha. for the previous days, it was VERY VERY heavy. but since my indoor shoes were left there, no need carry! yay. i juz had to bring writing materials and the present? good. i reached later than usual but me and Shiyun had to wait for Jielin again. 156 came quite fast and we reached the bus interchange at 7.06 am. made our way to the Japanese school soon and happy! nobody was there again...we just stood at the staircase, there have a mirror. then we started dancing at the stairs until the Japanese arrived. haha we did 'again and again' from the pumping part in one row. hahaha so fun

Homeroom was as per normal. but no need say speech. yet. during the silent reading i asked Ayumi to check my speech again. i wanted to collect numbers and names so i passed my file around. but only four of us the exchange students wrote properly. then i asked JIelin to pass to Hitomi during lunch. unfortunately, at the end of the day, only what, 5 girls wrote?! i think they thought we did not want the guy's de. haiz so sad. nvm i got pictures lah.

first lesson was gijutsu, the wood shop in this case. they built stuff with wood by themselves. wow. nanyang would never allow it. they were given one whole packet of materials and instructions, then they did everything themselves. the teacher just advice them. this lesson was for 2 periods, 2 hours. the first hour, they finished up their previous work, a photo frame. Ayumi finished her last time already so we just kept talking and exchanged culture. haha. i taught her rubberband tricks. like star, double-star (go LL), X,Y,V,L,I,O. then she taught me make the shape of the frog using hands. wood shop, i thought that it was very dangerous. they could handle hammers, screw drivers, some weird metal stuff, VERY sharp. at the end of the first period, one guy was walking around the class with the whole hand filled with all the metal sharp stuff. Hase was like ' ABUNAI' (meaning dangerous). at the other table, Nakamura was playing with a hammer. he kept smacking it onto his hands. then he let the others try. LOL. the second period, they had to start a new piece of work. that was shelves. either to store books or small things. they could choose from many designs and decide which one they wanted to do. they will start next week. anyway, the lesson was damn slack. oya, Ayumi was obsessed with the rubberband too. i told her that i kept playing with it during lesson and she said that it was bad. in the end, she was also playing during lesson until she got caught by teacher. ahahaha. they also had to collect materials for the next piece of work. it was this long thick wood in the plastic bag. BTW, seated at my table is Watanabe, Hase, Noda and Ayumi ( i asked them their name you know. all guys!). anyway, they were damn funny. Watanabe went to help the whole group take their materials, wah he damn strong sia. one was already like 1 or 2 kg and he carried like what, 5? he carried the whole stack, but since he was so tall, still ok lah. he said it was heavy and put it down in a stack on the table. after a while, he was like ' can i write my name on one first?' he went to write. it was stacked up so high that when he stood up, just nice he can write on the top one. so he started writing his name. then the others also ask him to help write theirs. his Kanji handwriting very nice, cursive de, like signing like that. that was what Noda said. he was like 'he looks like he is signing for fans'. ahahahah damn funny. its like so true, he stood in front of the whole stack and was 'signing' away. they had to write their class then index and name. EG: 2141 Takeuchi Ayumi (class 2-1, index 41, name takeuchi ayumi (in kanji lah)). Watanabe was asking Hase ' what number?' then Noda was like ' really like signing!!' then Watanabe was like ' Aaa. Noda-Kun desu ne.' in the voice like superstar when signing. Imagine like Mr Midnight signing books, we carry books to James Lee and he writes our name with a small note? saying like 'Yuxin, right?' to confirm name lah. YUP that was what Watanabe did. then we was like 'Hase-Kun desu ne' then he passed the wood to Hase. HAHAHAHA damn funny. Noda also! his voice went high pitch ' Kyaaa~ Kakkoi' x 5. meaning 'waaa, so cool!' like a fan girl. DAMN FUNNY OKAY. i think you have to be there to feel the atmosphere and i cannot explain in words lah. it was just DAMN FUNNY. so sad...last day. Next, Hase took out Noda's long skinny wood. he said 'lighto se-bar' (light saber from star wars) then he was like 'zyunn zyunn zyunn' while swinging the wood. hahaha. Noda was like 'Ore no da!' (it's mine!) he tried to take Hase's wood but failed. so he just imagined holding another light saber. they started 'fighting'. then Watanabe suddenly raised his hand! then Noda and Hase was like 'argh argh' (struggling as Watanabe was using the Force). chao funny!!!!

Next lesson was geography. we continued the previous worksheet. read my previous posts. the worksheet on Thailand. we finished it up and went through the answers. i thought that it was damn easy. well, i did not do the hard part. hehe. it is like normal geography worksheet. they had to infer what activities took place there and describe the agriculture and stuff. the part i did was just copying from the atlas.

News reading. Yep i did not understand at all. i was trying to memorize the names of classmates. i memorized two columns of people already! the third column. sadly, no time. in order. i shall post the names of people according to their seats one day, together with all the pictures i have. Names: Shibata, Akiho, Moriya, Shuri, Ninuma, Yumi, Kurita, Saho, Narimoto, Asuka, Horie, Hitomi.
Ayumi, Watanabe, Kasazima, Hase, Mutsumi, Michimoto, Yuka, Tomozawa, Rina, Sugimori, Kako, Igarashi, Noda.
The last column i have not memorized yet but: Yamamoto,Higashi, Takesako, Megumi,Takano, Fumi, Nakamura, Ayumi, Momose, Ayaka, Sanui, Akari

actually arh, i memorized names but not faces. so if you messed up the people, i don't know who is who le. okay, i know some lah! like all the girls and at least 8 guys.

after this, us exchange students had our own lesson thingy again. and today, we were learning music. the Japanese instrument, koto. it is actually like the chinese gu zheng. we learnt the song <<>>. but it has like 8 bars only? anyway,it was very cool. it like 3 in a group. each take turns to play. then we had to keep switching places. ><

finish already, then is LUNCH time!!! haha. very fun again. eyeing my lunch. but i think it is because i bring junk and they bring rice so they want to eat. after 'itadakimasu', i thought that my food was damn dry so i did not eat a lot. so after the Japanese ate finish theirs, they took it again. but not as violent as the previous 2 days. i took pictures during lunch too! unfortunately, only those at the back! because i was seated around the back. sensei posed for me too! haha fun sia. do you know when a camera is nearby, Japanese girls straightaway jump into the picture with peace sign? haiz i am so sad again.pictures are not enough.

after lunch, the closing ceremony. yep since there was no time we still did not do our closing speech. YET. we rushed to the hall. and like you see in the dramas, there were chairs in front of the stage. then all other students sat on the floor very neatly behind. orh i forgot to mention. do you know how they sit? they sit in the hugging knees pose. everyone. we sat with our buddies on the chair. AND. MICHIMOTO speaks good english. SHOCK~ Ayumi said he is first in the school. WOW. they introduce us and we had to go up stage one by one with our buddies to collect certificate of participation. for us it was in Japanese. for our buddies it was in english. Ironic. then, the Japanese gave a speech. Then we gave a speech. as in a representative lah. i was not very happy already because i thought there was no time to take pictures already. and i didn't even get enough contacts! ZERO guys! ARGH. PISSED. after the speeches by the teachers also, then we started playing games.
Game one: maru batsu ( circle and cross/ correct or wrong)
the MC asks a question, then the students either go to the left side, if they they think the statement is true. or to the right side, if they think it was wrong. ok damn funny. because we don't understand so we just followed the girls in class. THEY WERE TOO SIAN TO PLAY. they just sat there and talked. many other people also like that. when we got it wrong, just go to the back of the hall to sit. i think at the 1st round, my whole class went to the back. hahahah

Game two. same lah. only the statement was on the screen. but damn toot leh. they asked like: ' does nakamura kochou sensei have a child who likes to read?' and 'did nakamura kochou sensei used to play baseball in high school?' LOL HOW WE KNOW?!

Game three: lame but fun. people start to play jan ken po. then loser must go behind the winner's back and form a train. the whole school plays until only one train is left. so the person in front is the winner. hahaha although the relationship between the guys and girls are very good, the last two trains were boys VS girls. but the sensei stopped the game there. it was damn FUN.

after the games, we had to go down do survey and eat stuff. YAY. eclaires, samosa, pizza, sushi, sandwich etc etc. the jelly was damn hard. we all just threw it away. including the Japanese. 'cept the guys. i was very sad and pissed then already. because i did not get the class photo i wanted. so i was like bothering everyone, especially Ayumi. but she kept saying she don't know if can go back to class. ( we brought our bags with us already) She and Fumi went to ask the sensei and YAY we got permission! HAPPY! we took a few class photos. i shall post them next time. SADLY, since we were back in class, sensei made us give the speech. i totally forgot my script so i made it up on the spot. which totally screwed. so yeah. embarrassed. but i was very VERY sad. i was going to cry but i can ren lor. since like nobody cry like that. hahaha. sensei gave us their class newsletter. with US inside!!! hahah. i realised that Kasazima was a new student. No wonder he so damn quiet! and he sits next to me during lunch!i talked to him once. asking him to take my cookie. hahaha

i gave my present to Ayumi and she gave me a letter. WOW she put yamada's picture inside!!! HAHAHAHAH. orh and she likes UVERworld.

overally, i feel very happy and contented that i had this chance to become friends with one whole class in the local Japanese school. I hope that more of this type of programmes will come my way and i will try my best to get in. I think it is a very good experience to experience the Japanese school life and compare it to our normal NY life, which totally pales in comparison. How i wish i could turn back time and start all over again, and never stop. My only regret is that i was still too shy and did not take my chances to talk to the guys. and believe me, i had many chances. i want to meet all them again, in school or outside. haiz. so sad. 3 days is just too short. the memories will never fade...
